          Multicopter frames are relatively simple, they consist of a few main items. They have, for quadcopters, 4 main arms. The arms are refered to as booms as they are the main structure of the copter. All frames also consist of a body which holds all four booms together and makes the pieces into one main object. You then also have the landing gear. The landing gear is used to lift the main portion off of the ground just enough for a camera to be placed underneath. For the copters who have no camera they will have shorter landing gear. 

 

         The lighter that a copter frame is the faster that the copter will go, and the more agile the copter it will make. When picking a frame try to pick one that fits your needs, if you want your copter to carry a camera choose large landing gear, if you wand a sport copter choose a light frame.
